Legal Compliance Advisors (Pty) Ltd (trading as LCA) was established in 2011 and we quickly became leaders in the industry since we simplify sophistication!

Health and Safety is our passion and we want to emphasize that attention to Health and Safety is not just about being socially responsible…it also makes good business sense and you should regard it just as important as the achievement of any other key business objective.

Remember; whatever sort of business you are, there is always the possibility of an accident or damage to someone’s health. All work exposes people to hazards, be they: loads which have to be manually handled; dangerous machinery; toxic substances; electricity; working with display screen equipment or even psychological hazards such as stress.

Essentially we will ensure the absence of risk to health and safety of employees and others so far as is reasonably practicable.

  • Identify your main hazards and risks.
  • Ensure your risk control measures are adequate, used and maintained.
  • Conduct a GAP analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • On-going evaluations of performance . 
  • Preventative action is taken when opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Corrective action where non-conformances are identified.

Meet The Management Team

Johan Burger

Operations Manager

Since joining LCA in 2013 Johan Burger has gained both theoretical and practical experience in the Occupational Health and Safety Legal Compliance industry.
During this time, Johan implemented and co-managed compliance systems for various commercial industries and construction projects. By working closely with international auditing and certification bodies Johan successfully led several commercial industries to the point of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification.
Furthermore, Johan is currently in the process of obtaining his diploma in Health & Safety Management through UNISA.

Alta Kruger

Administration and finance

Alta joined LCA in September 2012 and brought with her many years of corporate administration skills. Alta’s attention to detail and professionalism plays an important role in the services we provide to our clients to ensure precise and accurate on-time delivery. 

Her corporate career kicked off at SARS in 1997 – where Alta was appointed as the Enforcement Tax Debt Collection Team Leader in Gauteng South. Alta has obtained her Tax Certificate and Financial statements and completed courses in Management Skills as well as Criminal Risk Identification. Alta was awarded numerous awards for Team Leader of the year as well as Best Collections in the Enforcement department in history for the Gauteng South Region. This success was due to her effort to ensure that each team member pulls their weight – but more importantly to make sure that each team member knows his or her value in the team! 

It was time for a change and after 12 years Alta resigned from SARS to explore the Oil and Industrial supply industry. Alta was one of two directors in a company and again with hard work as well as her determination to succeed – it also flourished over a small period of time. 

After selling her shares and relocating to the Western Cape, Alta joined the LCA team and to date work as the Group of Companies Office Manager, Commercial Division. Alta has equipped herself with knowledge of the Health and Safety discipline, Quality Management, Environmental Management and Systems Implementations. Her passion lies with Quality Management and Alta obtained a Certificate in ISO 9001 Foundation Course for Auditors in 2015. 

Alta has since assisted clients to become ISO 9001:2008 certified. Alta surely enjoys the everyday challenges and due dates that is always evident in our field. 

Alta is acting Financial Director for the company ensuring that the management of all accounts are done accurate and timeously.

Her motto in life is: The best way to predict your future…is to create is.

Adriaan vd Berg

Adriaan has worked in the Occupational Health and Safety Legal Compliance industry for the past 19 years in various arenas, locally and international. His experience stretches from leading compliance processes on major development projects such as the Ore Line expansion project, a multi-billion rand project, multiple construction projects involving the building of shopping malls, stadiums, rail projects, etc. to implementing compliance systems for major commercial industries.

Tanya vd Berg

Non-Executive Director

Tanya has worked in the corporate industry since 1998. 

Tanya’s management capabilities and exceptional organisational skills have enabled her to hold senior management positions throughout her corporate career. 

Amongst others she was the National Administration Manager for South Africa’s largest Warehousing & Distribution Company, EMIA accounts manager for EDS Memorex UK and Special Projects Manager for Value Logistics SA.
